Support means that HP need to provide me a download link and not to ask me to pay 48 € again for a license. First, Microsoft does not supply Recovery Disks. So, you can not use your product key to download one from Microsoft. I already tried this, but get an error message. I have reformatted a PC with windows XP home SP2 on it. Also has IE 6, and I can't get download Windows updates. I have never had an issue when performing a clean install of the OS one of my laptops was delivered with.
